ELDERS' COUNCIL

We raise our hands to our Elders with gratitude and appreciation for everything they have given to us.

Our Elders' Council provides advice on Coast Salish traditions, language, and culture. They are a source of wisdom and knowledge and guide us along our path.

The Elders' Council represents Naut'sa mawt Tribal Council's 10 member nations and guides the work of NmTC with their wisdom in culture, protocol, and experience.

Our Elders' Council meets monthly, sharing their teachings with the Naut'sa mawt staff. Their knowledge and resilience empower us to move forward in a good way, always mindful of our purpose.

In addition to regular council meetings, we respectfully invite our Elders' Council to participate in talking circles, open and close our meetings according to our cultural protocol, and attend Board of Directors meetings.

GET TO KNOW OUR ELDERS

We are honoured to have had the opportunity to learn from the teachings of our Elders. The members of our Elders' Council, past and present, guide us through challenging times and we thank them for all that they have given to Naut'sa mawt.
